Brazilian visual artist Valeria Lamim Delgado Fernandes was born in Sao Paulo and began her studies in art under the guidance of private teachers. A professional translator, she divides her time between books and art, especially painting.

Under the artistic name Val Lamim, she is always looking for ways to translate her life experiences and memories into art, which stands out for its delicate style of strokes, subtlety of shapes, vivid textures, and soft palette. She seeks to express in her work the beauty of little everyday things.

In the creative process, human figures are recurrent themes, especially the female being in her different stages of life.

Recently, she has been dedicating herself to illustrations, in a more particular way, for children's and youth books.

She took part in collective exhibitions in Sao Paulo and Piaui (Brazil), Liechtenstein, art fairs in Germany and individual exhibitions in Portugal. Her works are also featured in Brazilian art magazines.
